GN'R mention in Hoobastank article
The Boston Herald has an article about Hoobastank. According to them, they were asked to open for GN'R in the US.

This is only the GN'R related part of the article:

Before returning to the States yesterday for the Liquid Mix tour, they planned to check out one of their all-time rock 'n' roll heroes at the festival in Japan: Guns N' Roses.

``I saw them once,'' said Robb. ``But Dan, it's one of his favorite bands of all time and he never saw them.

``I'm curious to see what they are going to be like,'' said Robb of the reclusive band, basically now a solo project for singer Axl Rose.

It seems like Rose is something of a Hoobastank fan, too. If and when GNR performs in the United States (November dates are possible), Hoobastank is one of the bands being considered to open the shows.

``Man, I used to listen to this guy all the time, see him on TV,'' said Robb. ``Now we get a call from his people requesting us because he's a fan. Who-ah, it's really strange.

``That's even less than unofficial,'' added Robb, level-headed again. ``There's just talk about it. As of right now we are doing our own headlining tour at the end of September. We're not going to sit around waiting on anyone else's schedule.''
