There’s a certain magic to distinguishing between a regular “good” voice and one that has that certain je ne sais quoi – the one that sends chills up your spine. In order to be considered on this list, singers must be able to command an audience with his or her vocals. Each artist on this list of the five greatest voices in the history of rock music has a powerful, distinctive and unforgettable voice.

Number One: Axl Rose.
Rose is the frontman for the legendary band Guns N’ Roses. He is arguably one of the most unique voices in rock music. Notorious for his lead vocals in “Welcome to the Jungle,” “Live & Let Die,” and “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” Rose’s aggressive and badass voice has made him a staple in the world of Rock music. In 2012, the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
