Former Guns n' Roses members Slash (guitar), Duff McKagan (bass) and Matt Sorum (drums) played a club show Sunday in Park City, Utah, to celebrate the Slamdance Film Festival's screening of "Soundman," which features several Sorum compositions. The makeshift band, whose only rehearsal was a routine soundcheck, played several songs from the film, along with the GNR version of Bob Dylan's "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" and the Rolling Stones' "Honky Tonk Woman." "By the end of the night, everybody from the audience in the first 10 rows was on the stage," Slash (born Saul Hudson) said Monday (Jan. 25). "It was a really magic gig." |
