Appetite For Destruction on Sonicnet's Essential Collections
GN'R's Appetite For Destruction was one of the 25 essential rock albums chosen by Sonicnet. This is what they say about the album:

Guns N' Roses crawled out of a Los Angeles sewer in 1987 with Appetite for Destruction, their 150-proof answer to the arena fluff of such groups as Bon Jovi and Def Leppard. Packed with such classic, broken-bottle bar-fight punk/metal tunes as "Welcome to the Jungle" and "Nightrain," Appetite gave popular music the kick in the pants it had been needing for years and signaled that rock rebellion hadn't grown old and soft with the Rolling Stones. The Gunners' true appetite proved to be self-destruction, however, and the bandmembers failed to duplicate the intensity of their debut LP before heading their separate ways less than 10 years later.
